Our afternoon begins...
Our afternoon begins with a healthy snack! During this time, our Villagers will have time to socialize with others, participate in quiet meditation moments before homework and tutoring, and prepare for study hour.
Tutorial Time
After snack time, the Villagers will participate in Reading or Mathematics
tutorial. The Villagers will also receive homework help support during this hour. Our reading and mathematics tutoring includes varied activities and varied methods of instruction delivery to ensure mastery.
Enrichment and Exploration
Beginning immediately after homework/tutorial, the Villagers will explore various Academic Enrichment classes to reinforce learning performance standard objectives and
add to their reading or mathematics instruction. Villagers will choose to
participate in fun activities such culinary skills, art, foreign language, science activities, technology, and physical activities.

Our weekly themes are....

Math Mania Mondays!
We focus on exploring math through a variety of core content areas! We use literature and art to make understanding math concrete and lasting.
Math Mania also includes Game Hour-Old School Style! In this last hour of the day, the Villagers will play games we all know and love such as Uno, S'MATH, 24, Mancala, Monopoly, Chess, and Rubik's Cubes and so much more! Think it's impossible? Come join us and see for yourself!
Technology Tuesdays!

On Tuesday, children explore various coding programs and build their own games using Raspberry Pi, HTML, Scratch, Tynker, JavaScript, or Blockly formats. It's their choice! Students also get to review various math concepts as we practice flying drones and directing android robots to follow specific routes.

Wonderful Wednesdays!
​
On Wednesdays, we host our Wittzle Challenge, Wonderful Wednesday Writer's Workshop activities, Wind Down with Yoga, Wind Energy builds, and weekly Garden upkeep.

Thinking Thursdays!
​
On Thursdays, we are thinking about solving world problems using STEM activity labs, science experiments, building Lego Robots, and playing strategic games and puzzles.

Funtastic Fridays!
LITERATURE CIRCLES:
Fridays are special wind down days at The Village. The late afternoons will be
our time to relax as our Villagers will participate in Literature Circles.
Everyone will meet in aged groups to read and discuss a new title every month.
Little Villagers in kindergarten will close the week with a special book of the
week activity.
FRIDAY CLUBS:
After our Literature Circles, our Villagers participate in Friday Clubs. The Villagers meet with the club of their choice: Cooking Club, Ujima Mentoring, Art Club, eSports Club, or First Lego League Robotics Club. Our club activities culminate the applied learning taking place during enrichment Hour.
Our Villagers will enjoy days filled with so much fun and excitement, without realizing all the learning taking place!
